My name is Corien Elstgeest, born in 1950 in Holland.

In 1997 I visited Egypt with my husband and two daughters for the first time; as soon as we arrived in the beautiful Western Desert, I felt as I was back home again; from the first moment I was in love with this place, the nature, the quietness. There was nothing but also there was everything. I found piece in my heart and I knew deep inside that this experience should change a lot in my life.

And since 1997 I am living in Egypt as well as in Holland; I want to share my feelings with other people, so I am giving all who want to make “a journey to theirselves” the opportunaty to make this experience in the desert. You are very welcome! Visit our website www.deserttours.nl

In the meantime, I also started a special project in Bahariya oasis, named “Elysium”. Elysium in the framework of small-scale development cooperation, to rendering Elysium into a biodynamic farm with respect to nature and society. Elysium is intended for the local population who will have an opportunity to be schooled and to further educate themselves thanks to the exploitation of biodynamic agriculture.
Elysium offers plenty facilities for individual coaching, group training and courses.

Elysium is an ideal operating base for making safari trips in 4WD jeeps or camel and walking tours through the western desert. Further, trips can be organised in combination with all other oases, or cities such as Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, or diving holidays. Visit: www.elysium.nu
